Unit A: Gases
To start off AP chemistry we'll tackle gases. Much of the material you learned in first year chemistry will be same, so this may be a fairly easy unit. We start here to get you use to how the rest of AP chemistry will work. So sit back and lets get gassy.

Yes we will talk about gas a lot in class over the next few periods, so lets get the giggles out the way. Here you can learn about the gases that make such crass jokes, not the same as what we will be talking about. |

Going for a five?
For those students who are seeking a 5 on the AP exam, simply attending class will not be enough. You will need to do some work out side of class. This means watching some more lectures on your own time. The videos can be QUITE long, however the material in them is amazing. It was created by the goddess of chemistry, Rene McCormick, a teacher from Texas with stellar AP Chemistry exam pass rates who has also served on the text creation committee. I do not expect you to sit though them all at once, however you should watch a little each night. When I learned the material I would do 10 to 15 minute segments, which is what I recommend.
