Our first lesson of unit 7, starts with an introductory video by Ted-Ed on equilibrium. This video segues well into equilibrium expression, the main performable task of this unit Calculating equilibrium position and knowing what it means is the main idea of this unit. Watch the lecture here to go into more detail. |

From an equilibrium expression it is possible to determine the equilibrium concentrations of a reaction or to find out if a reaction will proceed to produce more products or reactants. |
LeChatlier's principle is the observation that a system at equilibrium will stay at equilibrium unless acted on by an exterior force. In other words, equilibrium position (K) is fixed and only temperature will shift it. Watch the lecture to see how to apply this concept in free responses and multiple choice. |

Solubility equilibrium is the equilibrium position of an insoluble salt. We utilize this to discuss the number of ions produced from an insoluble salt in solution. |
After this lesson you'll need to complete the personal progress check for Unit 7. This will be a quiz grade, so do your best. Earning a score that is highlighted in yellow will earn you a 3/5, light green will net you a 4/5, but get that coveted green and you'll get earn a 5/5
