In case you missed class here are the lectures and relevant information for unit 11: acid/base chemistry
|
As acids are different from other compounds, the way acids are named, their nomenclature, is different. So watch the lecture on acid/base nomenclature and do p. 8 & 9 in the packet. Next class there is a quiz on acid-base nomenclature. Use the button below to access the Quizlet to review your polyatomic ions. |
In this class we learn the three theories behind acid/base interaction, and how to calculate pH. Make sure you watch the Ted-Ed video as well before taking the note quiz. |

|
Neutralization reactions are caused when an acid and base met. In this lesson we learn about titrations and neutralization |
Our final lesson begins again with a Ted-Ed video about the history of voltaic and galvanic cells, which you know as batteries. Then we discussed oxidation state and half reactions. Next class we will take our final AP style test, after this it is all SOL based tests. |
