If you miss what we did in class, here are the lectures and relevant materials for unit 10, equilibrium.

This unit is all about the rate of a chemical reaction.  Watch this quick video for some ideas of how to speed up a chemical reaction.

Next watch this video by Ted-Ed which has an interesting analogy for equilibrium.

We discussed collision theory and potential energy diagrams (Unit 10.1).  We also did pages 8 through 11 in the unit 10 packet.
Unit 10.1 Note Quiz Questions

In 10.2 we discussed Le Chatelier's principle and equilibrium expressions, a mathematical representation of whether a reaction favors the formation of products or reactants.  We also did pages 6, and 12 to 16 in the unit 10 packet.
Unit 10.2 Note Quiz Questions

Our quiz for unit 10 has us:
  • write an equilibrium expression (k) for a given reaction
  • complete an energy diagram
  • predict the shift of a reaction based on two changes
