Unit 5 & 6: The mole
The foundation for practically every aspect of chemistry is the number of molecules in a sample. Just as eggs are counted by the dozen (12) and shoes by the pair (2), molecules are counted by the mole (6.02 x 1023). This unit will introduce this topic, and how to balance chemical reactions
We will also begin analytical chemistry, where we will experimentally determine the formula of a compound from its percent composition.
